Tank Surface Preparation
Complete removal of grease buildup, corrosion, and contaminants using abrasive blasting, hydroblasting, or chemical cleaning methods. Surfaces prepared to SSPC standards for optimal lining adhesion.
AmTech delivers specialized commercial grease tank cleaning services using advanced surface preparation techniques and proprietary lining systems. Our engineer-led crews remove years of grease buildup, restore structural integrity, and apply chemical-resistant barriers that prevent corrosion and extend tank life—minimizing downtime and costly replacements for restaurants, hotels, and food processing facilities nationwide.

Comprehensive cleaning, repair, and protective lining solutions for all types of commercial grease storage and collection systems.
Complete removal of grease buildup, corrosion, and contaminants using abrasive blasting, hydroblasting, or chemical cleaning methods. Surfaces prepared to SSPC standards for optimal lining adhesion.
Welding of corroded sections, steel patching, and API 653-compliant repairs to restore tank integrity. Includes ultrasonic testing to identify hidden corrosion and wall thinning.
Application of DuraChem 500 series polylinings or HydraStone cementitious systems. Instant-cure, seamless barriers that resist grease, acids, and biological activity in FOG environments.
Repair of cracked or delaminated fiberglass grease interceptors using custom glass mat and resin laminates. Nozzle replacement and structural rebuilds for long-term performance.
Rapid-response service for active grease tank leaks, structural failures, and regulatory shutdowns. Crews mobilize with instant-cure materials to restore containment and minimize downtime.
Crystalline waterproofing for concrete grease interceptors and holding tanks. Port Seal and Xypex systems seal micro-cracks and prevent groundwater infiltration and effluent leakage.
AmTech's grease tank cleaning service goes beyond simple pumping. We perform full interior restoration using engineer-specified surface preparation, structural steel or fiberglass repairs, and application of our proprietary DuraChem 500 series instant-cure polylinings. These seamless barriers bond directly to steel, concrete, or fiberglass substrates, resist the aggressive acids and biological activity in FOG environments, and produce zero VOCs—allowing facilities to return to operation the same day or next day. With 55+ years of experience serving restaurants, hotels, food processing plants, and institutional kitchens across all 50 states, we deliver cost-effective solutions that extend tank life and eliminate recurring corrosion issues.

Over five decades of successful projects for Fortune 500 companies, hospitality groups, and municipal facilities nationwide.
Industry-leading grease tank restoration backed by proprietary systems and nationwide field crews.
Field engineers assess every project, specifying optimal preparation methods and lining systems based on substrate condition, grease chemistry, and facility requirements.
DuraChem 500 series polylinings cure on contact, eliminating multi-day shutdowns required by traditional epoxy systems. Zero VOCs and no extended cure times.
Since the 1960s, AmTech has specialized in tank lining and repair. We're the largest field installer of cementitious tank linings in North America with proven expertise nationwide.
Rapid-response crews available across all 50 states, Canada, and the Caribbean. We mobilize with instant-cure materials to restore failed tanks and maintain regulatory compliance.
Engineer-trained professionals with decades of specialized tank restoration experience.
CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau leads project engineering and field operations for AmTech's commercial and industrial tank restoration services. As a certified NLPA Special Inspector with decades of hands-on experience, Greg conducts site assessments, develops repair specifications, and oversees the execution of complex tank lining projects across hospitality, food service, municipal, and industrial facilities. His expertise spans surface preparation methodologies, structural steel repair to API standards, and the application of AmTech's proprietary DuraChem and HydraStone lining systems. Greg's engineering-driven approach ensures every grease tank restoration project is executed to the highest technical standards while minimizing facility downtime. He works directly with facility managers, general contractors, and property management firms to deliver cost-effective, long-term solutions for corrosion control and regulatory compliance. For project inquiries and technical consultations, Greg can be reached directly at 603-315-8839.
Commercial grease tanks, interceptors, and FOG (fats, oils, grease) collection systems should be pumped and cleaned every 30 to 90 days depending on kitchen volume, local regulations, and tank size. However, full interior restoration with surface preparation and protective lining—like AmTech's DuraChem or HydraStone systems—is typically performed every 10 to 20 years or when inspections reveal structural corrosion, lining failure, or active leaks. Regular pumping removes accumulated grease, but only a protective lining prevents long-term corrosion from the aggressive acids and biological activity in FOG environments.
