CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau serves as a CS Project Engineer and NLPA Special Inspector at AmTech Tank Lining & Repair, bringing specialized expertise in tank inspection, lining specification, and field project management. As an NLPA Special Inspector, Greg holds industry-recognized certification for inspecting underground and aboveground storage tank systems, ensuring compliance with National Leak Prevention Association (NLPA) standards and environmental regulations. In his role, he evaluates tank integrity, assesses corrosion damage, specifies appropriate lining and repair systems, and oversees field installation to meet API, NFPA, and ASTM requirements. Greg works directly with clients to develop customized solutions for complex tank challenges—from emergency leak repairs to large-scale relining projects across industrial, municipal, and commercial facilities. His technical knowledge spans fiberglass tank construction, steel substrate preparation, chemical resistance evaluation, and proprietary lining systems including DuraChem® and HydraStone Alkrete®. Greg is the primary point of contact for project inquiries and employment applications and can be reached directly at 603-315-8839.
FRP stands for Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (also called Fiber-Reinforced Polymer). An FRP tank is a composite storage vessel constructed by layering fiberglass reinforcement materials—such as woven glass cloth, chopped strand mat, or continuous glass filament—within a polymer resin matrix like polyester, vinylester, or epoxy. This laminate construction creates a monolithic, corrosion-resistant structure with high strength-to-weight ratio. FRP tanks are widely used for storing water, wastewater, chemicals, petroleum products, and other liquids where steel or concrete tanks would be vulnerable to corrosion, chemical attack, or weight restrictions.
Our field engineers and NLPA inspectors provide free consultations on tank repair, relining, and replacement strategies.
