Surface Preparation
AmTech evaluates substrate condition, corrosion, existing coatings, humidity, and tank material before selecting abrasive blasting, water blasting, or mechanical preparation.
Protect bolted storage tanks from corrosion, leakage, and coating failure with engineered surface preparation, lining, repair, and waterproofing services. AmTech Tank Lining & Repair combines field engineering, proprietary coating systems, and experienced crews to support industrial, municipal, chemical, water, and petroleum facilities across New England and the broader United States.

Engineered coating, lining, preparation, repair, and waterproofing solutions for bolted storage tanks and related structures.
AmTech evaluates substrate condition, corrosion, existing coatings, humidity, and tank material before selecting abrasive blasting, water blasting, or mechanical preparation.
Dry, wet, or water blasting removes rust, scale, old coatings, oxides, and contaminants while crews verify the surface profile required for the selected lining system.
DuraChem 500 series floor pans help protect above-ground tank bottoms after inspection, steel repair, and abrasive blasting, creating a seamless corrosion-resistant barrier.
Chemical storage tanks receive lining systems selected for their stored substances, concentrations, temperatures, and operating conditions, helping separate corrosive contents from the tank wall.
Hot and cold water tank repairs combine inspection, steel restoration, surface preparation, and HydraStone Alkrete cementitious lining for water storage environments.
Engineer-led crews address active leaks, corrosion breakthroughs, lining failures, nozzle damage, and other urgent tank integrity concerns involving steel or concrete tanks.
Bolted storage tanks in New England face demanding service conditions, from moisture and seasonal weather changes to corrosive stored products and aging coatings. AmTech assesses the substrate, operating environment, and lining requirements before preparing and coating the tank with a suitable system. The result is targeted corrosion protection, safer liquid storage, reduced disruption, and a practical alternative to premature tank replacement.

CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau serves as AmTech's CS Project Engineer and NLPA Special Inspector, bringing specialized expertise in commercial tank assessment, regulatory compliance, and complex lining system design. As a licensed NLPA Special Inspector, Greg conducts detailed tank integrity evaluations, ultrasonic permeation testing, and structural assessments that form the foundation of every AmTech project. His engineering oversight ensures that surface preparation, material selection, and application protocols meet or exceed API, NFPA, ANSI, and NSF standards. Greg manages projects across multiple industries—from Fortune 500 chemical facilities to municipal water systems—coordinating field crews, specifying proprietary lining systems, and providing technical guidance throughout the installation process. With direct oversight of both routine maintenance projects and emergency response situations, he ensures that every tank restoration delivers maximum service life extension while minimizing facility downtime. Greg is the primary contact for project inquiries, technical consultations, and employment applications.
A bolted storage tank coating contractor evaluates tank surfaces, removes corrosion and failed coatings, repairs damaged substrates, and applies a compatible protective lining or coating. The work may include inspection, abrasive blasting, water blasting, steel repair, sealing around penetrations, and final verification. AmTech selects the approach according to the tank material, stored product, operating conditions, and condition of the existing coating.
