Tank Relining
Restore compromised fire water tanks with engineered lining systems selected for steel or concrete substrates, corrosion conditions, and service requirements to extend tank life and support inspection compliance.
A failed fire suppression tank inspection can put occupancy, insurance, and life-safety readiness at risk. AmTech Tank Lining & Repair helps facilities identify violation causes, prioritize corrective repairs, restore tank integrity, and document compliance progress with engineer-led crews, proprietary lining systems, and nationwide emergency response for steel and concrete fire water tanks.

Targeted repair, lining, surface preparation, and compliance support for failed fire water tank inspections.
Restore compromised fire water tanks with engineered lining systems selected for steel or concrete substrates, corrosion conditions, and service requirements to extend tank life and support inspection compliance.
Seal cracks, cold joints, penetrations, and leaking concrete tank walls using crystalline waterproofing systems that help stop water infiltration and protect reinforcing steel from corrosion.
Rapid response crews address active leaks, corrosion breakthrough, lining failure, regulatory shutdowns, and structural defects to help facilities reduce downtime and restore fire protection readiness.
Engineer-led crews remove rust, failed coatings, oxides, and contaminants through appropriate blasting or profiling methods before applying long-lasting lining and repair systems.
Add code-compliant manways and access improvements that enable safer inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and future lining work for older or difficult-to-access fire water tanks.
Prepare tank interiors and exteriors with dry abrasive, wet abrasive, or hydroblasting methods that achieve required surface profiles for reliable coating adhesion.

AmTech begins by reviewing the failed inspection report, observed deficiencies, tank construction, prior lining history, and operational constraints. This helps separate urgent life-safety issues from scheduled corrective work and establishes a practical compliance recovery timeline.

CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau serves as AmTech's CS Project Engineer and NLPA Special Inspector, bringing specialized expertise in commercial tank assessment, regulatory compliance, and complex lining system design. As a licensed NLPA Special Inspector, Greg conducts detailed tank integrity evaluations, ultrasonic permeation testing, and structural assessments that form the foundation of every AmTech project. His engineering oversight ensures that surface preparation, material selection, and application protocols meet or exceed API, NFPA, ANSI, and NSF standards. Greg manages projects across multiple industries—from Fortune 500 chemical facilities to municipal water systems—coordinating field crews, specifying proprietary lining systems, and providing technical guidance throughout the installation process. With direct oversight of both routine maintenance projects and emergency response situations, he ensures that every tank restoration delivers maximum service life extension while minimizing facility downtime. Greg is the primary contact for project inquiries, technical consultations, and employment applications.
A fire suppression tank inspection typically reviews water storage capacity, tank condition, leaks, corrosion, interior lining, access points, valves, nozzles, overflow, structural integrity, and evidence that the tank can reliably support the fire protection system. Depending on the tank type, inspectors may require visual evaluation, ultrasonic thickness testing, cleaning access, documentation review, and verification that deficiencies have been corrected.
