Fire Tank Lining
AmTech applies proprietary lining systems inside buried fire suppression water tanks to create a seamless barrier against corrosion, seepage, and substrate deterioration while extending tank service life.
Protect buried fire suppression water tanks from corrosion, seepage, lining failure, and costly replacement with engineer-led inspection, repair, waterproofing, and lining solutions. AmTech Tank Lining & Repair restores underground steel and concrete tanks using proven systems designed to extend service life, reduce downtime, and keep critical fire protection reserves ready when facilities need them most.

Complete buried fire tank lining, repair, preparation, waterproofing, and emergency restoration for steel and concrete systems.
AmTech applies proprietary lining systems inside buried fire suppression water tanks to create a seamless barrier against corrosion, seepage, and substrate deterioration while extending tank service life.
Crews inspect tank interiors, remove failed coatings, rust, scale, and contaminants, then verify surface profile, dew point, temperature, and humidity before lining application begins.
For below-grade concrete fire water tanks, AmTech uses crystalline waterproofing systems such as Port Seal and Xypex to seal pores, joints, pipe penetrations, and micro-cracks.
Engineer-led crews repair damaged steel or concrete, address corrosion, rebuild compromised areas, and restore tank integrity before applying the selected protective lining system.
Older buried tanks can be upgraded with industry-standard manways that improve access for inspection, cleaning, lining, repair, and future code-compliant maintenance.
When fire suppression tanks leak, delaminate, crack, or face shutdown risk, AmTech mobilizes experienced crews for rapid assessment, temporary containment, repairs, and restoration.

AmTech begins with a detailed inspection of the buried fire suppression tank, documenting substrate type, corrosion, cracks, lining condition, penetrations, manways, and access constraints before specifying the safest restoration approach.

CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau serves as AmTech's CS Project Engineer and NLPA Special Inspector, bringing specialized expertise in commercial tank assessment, regulatory compliance, and complex lining system design. As a licensed NLPA Special Inspector, Greg conducts detailed tank integrity evaluations, ultrasonic permeation testing, and structural assessments that form the foundation of every AmTech project. His engineering oversight ensures that surface preparation, material selection, and application protocols meet or exceed API, NFPA, ANSI, and NSF standards. Greg manages projects across multiple industries—from Fortune 500 chemical facilities to municipal water systems—coordinating field crews, specifying proprietary lining systems, and providing technical guidance throughout the installation process. With direct oversight of both routine maintenance projects and emergency response situations, he ensures that every tank restoration delivers maximum service life extension while minimizing facility downtime. Greg is the primary contact for project inquiries, technical consultations, and employment applications.
Tank liner cost is driven by tank size, depth, access, substrate type, existing corrosion, required surface preparation, structural repairs, and the selected lining system. Buried fire suppression tanks may also require leak mitigation, manway access, pipe penetration detailing, or concrete waterproofing. AmTech evaluates each project before recommending a scope so the estimate reflects actual site conditions rather than a generic liner price.
