Tank Surface Preparation
Crews assess substrate condition, corrosion, existing coatings, humidity, and other site factors before selecting abrasive blasting, water blasting, or mechanical preparation for reliable lining adhesion.
Protect fire suppression water tanks from corrosion, leakage, and lining failure with engineered tank assessment, surface preparation, repair, and lining services. AmTech Tank Lining & Repair supports New Hampshire facilities with experienced field crews, proprietary lining systems, and solutions designed to extend tank service life while minimizing operational disruption in demanding Northeast conditions.

Comprehensive assessment, preparation, repair, waterproofing, and lining solutions for fire suppression water storage tanks.
Crews assess substrate condition, corrosion, existing coatings, humidity, and other site factors before selecting abrasive blasting, water blasting, or mechanical preparation for reliable lining adhesion.
AmTech inspects steel and concrete tanks, repairs damaged areas when required, and applies a lining system selected for the tank’s construction, stored water, and operating conditions.
Abrasive and water blasting remove rust, scale, old coatings, and contaminants while crews verify the surface profile required by the specified fire suppression tank lining system.
Crystalline waterproofing systems help address cracks, joints, penetrations, and water infiltration in concrete fire suppression tanks and related structures.
Above-ground tank bottoms can receive inspection, steel repair, surface preparation, and a seamless corrosion-resistant floor pan suited to the tank’s service conditions.
Engineer-led crews respond to active leaks, corrosion breakthroughs, lining failures, structural damage, and other urgent tank integrity concerns affecting facility operations.
Fire suppression tanks must remain dependable when a facility needs them most. AmTech evaluates the tank’s substrate, corrosion condition, existing lining, and service environment before recommending preparation, repairs, waterproofing, or a compatible lining system. For New Hampshire facilities, careful attention to seasonal moisture and Northeast operating conditions helps support durable protection, safer water storage, and less disruptive maintenance.

With direct oversight of both routine maintenance projects and emergency response situations, he ensures that every tank restoration delivers maximum service life extension while minimizing facility downtime. Greg is the primary contact for project inquiries, technical consultations, and employment applications.
Fire suppression tank lining is a protective system applied to the interior or other vulnerable surfaces of a fire water storage tank. It helps separate stored water from steel or concrete, addressing corrosion, leakage, and substrate deterioration. The appropriate preparation and lining approach depends on tank construction, existing damage, operating conditions, and the condition of any previous coating.
