Surface Preparation
AmTech evaluates tank material, corrosion, existing coatings, humidity, and substrate condition before selecting abrasive blasting, water blasting, or mechanical preparation for the specified lining system.
Protect your fire suppression water tank with engineered lining and repair services from AmTech Tank Lining & Repair. Our crews assess corrosion, prepare steel or concrete surfaces, and apply systems selected for the tank’s condition and service requirements. With Connecticut facilities facing seasonal moisture and demanding safety expectations, dependable corrosion protection helps support tank integrity, compliance, and long-term operation.

Inspection-led preparation, repair, waterproofing, and lining solutions for fire suppression water tanks and related structures.
AmTech evaluates tank material, corrosion, existing coatings, humidity, and substrate condition before selecting abrasive blasting, water blasting, or mechanical preparation for the specified lining system.
Port Seal® and Xypex systems help address cracks, joints, pipe penetrations, and water infiltration in concrete fire suppression tanks, supporting a durable barrier against moisture movement.
Crews inspect corrosion, pitting, coating failure, and structural concerns before repairing damaged areas and applying a lining system suited to the tank’s construction and operating conditions.
Fire suppression water tanks need reliable protection against corrosion, leakage, and substrate deterioration. AmTech’s engineer-led crews assess steel or concrete construction, prepare the surface, address damaged areas, and select an appropriate lining or waterproofing solution. For Connecticut facilities, careful attention to moisture and changing seasonal conditions supports consistent application quality and helps protect the tank’s service life while minimizing disruption to operations.

Fire suppression tank lining is a protective system applied to the interior of a water storage tank after inspection and surface preparation. The lining creates a barrier between stored water and the tank substrate, helping address corrosion, coating deterioration, and water infiltration concerns. The appropriate solution depends on whether the tank is steel or concrete, its existing condition, and its service requirements.
