Surface Preparation
Engineer-led crews assess corrosion, old coatings, substrate integrity, humidity, dew point, and required steel profile before preparing tank interiors for maximum lining adhesion.
Protect bolted steel tanks from corrosion, leaks, and chemical attack with seamless polyurea and polyurethane lining systems from AmTech Tank Lining & Repair. Our engineer-led crews assess tank conditions, prepare steel to industry profiles, detail seams and penetrations, and apply fast-curing barriers designed to minimize downtime, extend service life, and keep critical storage assets compliant and operational.

Complete lining support for bolted steel tanks, from blast preparation through seamless poly barrier application and repair.
Engineer-led crews assess corrosion, old coatings, substrate integrity, humidity, dew point, and required steel profile before preparing tank interiors for maximum lining adhesion.
Dry abrasive blasting, wet blasting, hydroblasting, and controlled profiling remove rust, scale, oxides, and contaminants so polyurea and polyurethane systems bond correctly.
DuraChem 500 series poly linings create seamless, chemical-resistant barriers for tanks exposed to acids, alkalis, treatment chemicals, and demanding industrial processes.
PLS 755 Tank Tape bridges gaps around bolted joints, pipe penetrations, nozzle openings, weld seams, and uneven transitions before the lining system is applied.
AST tank bottoms are repaired, profiled, and lined with instant-cure poly systems that protect vulnerable steel floors from internal corrosion and stored-product exposure.
Rapid-response crews address active leaks, corrosion breakthrough, lining failure, nozzle issues, and structural concerns using field-applied repair and lining materials.

AmTech field engineers evaluate the bolted steel tank, stored product, corrosion depth, existing coating condition, seams, penetrations, and substrate integrity. Testing may include ultrasonic thickness measurements and compliance review for API, NFPA, ANSI, NSF, or project-specific requirements.
AmTech combines proprietary lining systems, field engineering, and decades of tank repair experience.
Decades of tank lining experience guide every inspection, repair, and application decision.
Field engineering support helps match lining materials to real tank service conditions.
DuraChem, HydraStone, Armor Shield, and AT BiFlex options solve complex containment challenges.
Experienced crews cover all 50 states, Canada, and the Caribbean for urgent repairs.

CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau serves as AmTech's CS Project Engineer and NLPA Special Inspector, bringing specialized expertise in commercial tank assessment, regulatory compliance, and complex lining system design. As a licensed NLPA Special Inspector, Greg conducts detailed tank integrity evaluations, ultrasonic permeation testing, and structural assessments that form the foundation of every AmTech project. His engineering oversight ensures that surface preparation, material selection, and application protocols meet or exceed API, NFPA, ANSI, and NSF standards. Greg manages projects across multiple industries—from Fortune 500 chemical facilities to municipal water systems—coordinating field crews, specifying proprietary lining systems, and providing technical guidance throughout the installation process. With direct oversight of both routine maintenance projects and emergency response situations, he ensures that every tank restoration delivers maximum service life extension while minimizing facility downtime. Greg is the primary contact for project inquiries, technical consultations, and employment applications.
Polyurea and polyurethane lining is a fast-curing protective barrier applied to the interior of a bolted steel tank. It bonds to properly prepared steel and creates a seamless, corrosion-resistant surface that isolates the tank wall from stored liquids. AmTech uses poly lining systems where chemical resistance, rapid return to service, and long-term containment protection are priorities.
