Surface Preparation
Crews assess tank conditions and remove rust, old coatings, scale, and contaminants using preparation methods selected for the substrate and lining system.
Protect fire suppression water tanks across Pennsylvania with engineered lining, repair, and corrosion-control solutions from AmTech Tank Lining & Repair. Our field engineering team evaluates steel and concrete tanks, prepares compromised surfaces, and applies systems selected for the tank’s service conditions. Extend tank life, support reliable water storage, and minimize operational disruption with experienced nationwide crews.

Engineered preparation, repair, waterproofing, and lining solutions for steel and concrete fire suppression water tanks.
Crews assess tank conditions and remove rust, old coatings, scale, and contaminants using preparation methods selected for the substrate and lining system.
Dry, wet, or water blasting creates the required surface profile while supporting coating adhesion and helping address corrosion before lining application.
AmTech repairs and re-lines hot and cold water tanks, addressing corrosion, pitting, scale, structural damage, and deteriorated interior lining conditions.
Port Seal and Xypex systems help seal cracks, joints, penetrations, and moisture pathways in concrete fire suppression tanks and related structures.
Field crews can repair damaged steel, restore affected areas, and address nozzle or access concerns before applying a compatible protective lining.
Engineer-led crews respond to active leaks, corrosion breakthroughs, lining failures, and other tank integrity issues affecting facility operations.
Pennsylvania fire suppression tanks must remain dependable despite corrosion, water chemistry, sediment, and changing environmental conditions. AmTech evaluates each tank’s substrate, existing lining, and service requirements before recommending a repair or lining approach. From surface preparation through application, engineer-led crews focus on durable adhesion, safe storage, reduced downtime, and practical restoration that helps facilities protect critical fire water capacity.

Rely on experienced field engineers and specialized lining crews for demanding tank restoration work.
More than 55 years of tank lining and repair experience informs practical project decisions.
Field engineering support guides inspection, surface preparation, material selection, and application requirements.
Experienced crews serve Pennsylvania and facilities across all 50 US States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Repair and lining strategies are designed to support safe restoration while minimizing facility disruption.
Experienced professionals support complex tank lining projects from assessment through completion.

CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau serves as AmTech's CS Project Engineer and NLPA Special Inspector, bringing specialized expertise in commercial tank assessment, regulatory compliance, and complex lining system design. As a licensed NLPA Special Inspector, Greg conducts detailed tank integrity evaluations, ultrasonic permeation testing, and structural assessments that form the foundation of every AmTech project. His engineering oversight ensures that surface preparation, material selection, and application protocols meet or exceed API, NFPA, ANSI, and NSF standards. Greg manages projects across multiple industries—from Fortune 500 chemical facilities to municipal water systems—coordinating field crews, specifying proprietary lining systems, and providing technical guidance throughout the installation process. With direct oversight of both routine maintenance projects and emergency response situations, he ensures that every tank restoration delivers maximum service life extension while minimizing facility downtime. Greg is the primary contact for project inquiries, technical consultations, and employment applications.
Fire suppression tank lining is a protective system applied to the interior of a fire water storage tank after inspection and surface preparation. The lining creates a barrier between stored water and the tank substrate, helping address corrosion, deterioration, and coating failure. AmTech evaluates steel or concrete construction, existing conditions, and service requirements before selecting an appropriate lining or repair approach.
