CS Project Engineer / NLPA Special Inspector
Greg Comeau serves as AmTech's CS Project Engineer and holds the specialized credential of NLPA Special Inspector, positioning him at the forefront of tank lining compliance and engineering excellence. With deep expertise in API standards, NFPA regulations, and advanced lining system specifications, Greg leads complex projects across petroleum, chemical, and water storage applications. His dual role encompasses both field engineering support—where he assesses site-specific conditions, specifies appropriate surface preparation methods, and oversees the deployment of proprietary DuraChem® and HydraStone® systems—and regulatory compliance inspection under NLPA protocols. Greg's hands-on approach ensures every project meets or exceeds industry standards while minimizing facility downtime. Available for project inquiries and consultation at 603-315-8839.
AmTech employs a range of engineered surface preparation methods selected based on substrate type, corrosion extent, and environmental conditions. These include dry abrasive blasting (sandblasting) using garnet, aluminum oxide, or steel grit; wet abrasive blasting for dust-sensitive environments; hydroblasting (water blasting) for coating removal; and chemical cleaning for specialized applications. All preparation work achieves SSPC, NACE, or ASTM-specified profiles—typically SSPC-SP5 White Metal, SSPC-SP6 Commercial Blast, or SSPC-SP10 Near-White Blast—verified via replica tape or digital profilers. Our crews measure ambient temperature, dew point, and humidity before lining application to ensure optimal adhesion and prevent premature failure.
